Undersea Sub parks at the Khram Island
1. Hinh Lur Dum Nam Island Undersea Sub Park
Appearance of the Undersea Ground
This Hinh Lur Dum Nam is located in the Northeast of Suttaheep Port around 19 Kilometers away or equivalent to 22 Kilometers from the South of Pattaya and around 800 Meters away from Khram Island (Khram island is the property of the Navy Base)
General Condition of the Depth and Light Level is as the following:
- Depth Level of the sea water is around 5-18 Meters
- Light Level that can deeply shine is around 3-12 Meters
- Viewing of the coral at this point: can either be the surface diving or snorkeling that is appropriate for viewing the shallow water coral; and Scuba Type or deep diving
- The appropriate time for tour is in the season of Northeast Monsoon during the months for November to May or on the day with nice weather during the season of Southwest Monsoon (during the months of May to November)
Prominence
This Hinh Lur Dum Nam lies itself in the East-West Range; having the feature similar to shipping bridge tower of the submarine. In the East Side, the stone range will stretch down under to the depth level of 18 Meters by the coral source of this side will be at he depth level of 5-18 meters. As for the West Side, the stone’s range will be the habitat for fan coralline, sponge and hard coral.
Along the whole range on both side will be decorated with various kinds of colorful sea animal and some place there will be many of coralline living altogether and look similarly like the forest. In addition, the sea turtle can also be found at this area.
2. Undersea Park at the Sinking Ship’s area
Appearance of the Undersea Ground
This point where the ship sank is located around 3.2 Kilometers from the Hinh Lur Dum Nam Island and is at the depth level of 23-24 Meters
General Condition of the Depth and Light Level is as the following:
- Depth Level of the sea water is around 12-25 Meters
- Light Level that can deeply shine is around 3-9 Meters
- Viewing of the coral at this point: can be done by deep diving
- The appropriate time for tour is in the season of Northeast Monsoon during the months for November to May or on the day with nice weather during the season of Southwest Monsoon (during the months of May to November)
Prominence
Touring of the Undersea Sub Park at this point will create the feeling like being dived to investigate the undersea treasure. This remain of such sinking ship has taken place around mid 2473. Since such time until the present, this remain has become the habitat of coral and various kinds of sea animal such as bush coralline, hard coral that hold and grow on different part of the ship’s deck. Decorated with various kinds of fish that have swum back and forth then creating this place to be as one of the most beautiful undersea sub parks.
